Fact Of The Day: Can't get a fish drunk in akron

In Akron, Ohio, as well as throughout the entire state, there exists an unusual but very real law that makes it illegal to get a fish drunk. This law is part of a broader set of regulations aimed to ensure the humane treatment of animals. The origins of such laws can often be traced back to broader animal protection efforts that were established to prevent cruelty and promote ethical treatment. This specific prohibition likely stems from concerns about the potential harm and stress that alcohol could cause to fish, who are sensitive creatures with delicate systems. So before you think about giving a akronian fish some booze, think twice about the law.
